Italy | Marche | Citrus Fruits | Verdicchio |
A fine example of the Verdicchio grape from one of the region's pioneering producers. From estate-grown grapes, a fresh and juicy style with lovely concentration of flavour. The grapes are 100% sourced from Monte Schiavo's own vineyards situated in the communes of Maiolati Spontini, Montecarotto, Poggio S. Marcello and Rosora - at an altitude of 180-360 metres above sea level. The Verdicchio vines are double guyot trained and yield around 11,000 kg per hectare. Vinified in stainless steel, temperature-controlled to retain fresh fruit characters and aromas. Fresh citrus and peachy aromas with hints of passion fruit. The palate has abundant pineapple and tropical fruit characters, balanced by zesty acidity and a ripe yet crisp finish.
