Masters of the land and proud of their craft, the Cooperative's wine growers all share a love of their vineyards. All year round they tend to their vines while, in the winery, they make and market the wines. Back when it was founded, the wine cooperative consisted of 116 wine growers.
Three years later, they were 180, and today their number exceeds 400 members. United and determined, creative and innovative, these wine growers represent a veritable raw talent which plays a crucial role in the development of the area, the conservation of the environment and the preservation of the region's rural activity. The Macon Lugny specific location "Les Charmes" is the flagship of the production of the Cave de Lugny and the pride of its winegrowers.
The harvest comes exclusively from a specific area, in the town of Lugny which takes the form of a 105 ha plateau predominantly clay-limestone. The south / south-east orientation allows it to benefit from optimum sunshine. The average age of the vines is over 40 years, with the particularity that it is partly composed of so-called "musky" Chardonnay plants which give the wine all its originality. This wine is the reflection of hard work and a guarantee of quality all over the world. Golden yellow colour with green reflections in its prime. Mixed floral and fruity aromas with notes of hazelnut, honey, acacia and citrus. A wine of great finesse, rich, full-bodied, velvety wine with a slightly spicy flavour.
