Château de la Gardine is an estate of 54 hectares in Châteauneuf-du-Pape, a family run vineyard which displays the 3 type of soils of the designation.In 1963 48 hectares Rasteau and Côtes-du-Rhône Villages completed the range.
In 1998 40 hectares of CHÂTEAU ST ROCH designation Lirac have been added to the family estate.
With the new brand BRUNEL DE LA GARDINE, the range has been developed with some chosen Crus of the Northern and Southern Rhône Valley.
Red soil on sandstone, clayish terraces and stony skeletal soil, much of which is sandy molasses.
Colour:Deep garnet with a clear rim. Nose:The high proportion of Syrah gives this wine some distinguished aromatic layers:black fruit, prunes, liquorice, leather. Mouth:A beautifully velvety wine with some very delicate tannins.
